Evening Workshop: How to Promote Yourself & Your Art Using Social Media Marketing
Canadians spend between 1-2 hours each day on social media channels (2015). More than 65% of the online population in Canada use Facebook, 35% use Instagram & LinkedIn, & approximately 20% use Twitter – including influencers such as journalists & bloggers. Many people are constantly within arms reach of their smart phone – our attention is there! Having a presence on social media can be a great way to stay in touch and top of mind with those who already know you, as well as helping new people discover you and your art.

Juhli Selby is an award winning marketing and technology instructor who has educated hundreds of professionals and small business owners on how to use social media tools effectively to build relationships online that will lead to sales. She’s the founder of JUHLi SELBy Social Media, a training company based in Victoria BC, that offers private lessons, public workshops and online training. She’s also a social media marketing instructor at Camosun College and a proud member of the Freebird Collective – an alliance of independent branding & marketing professionals in Victoria B.C.
JUHLi helps clients evaluate their existing online presence by looking at their business goals, resources and the ideal audience they want to attract, to help determine social media strategy. She’s an enthusiastic and patient trainer who shares creative ideas, and helps her clients and students get comfortable with online marketing technologies so they can find, connect with and expand their audiences.
This workshop is an elective and the fee is not included in any tuition or accommodation fee. Tickets can be purchased on-line or at the front desk during MISSA. Members of the public are welcome to attend and can purchase tickets in advance for $15. Please note that any tickets sold at the door will be $20.
